Which one requires KYC: Bright Data or Oxylabs?

Both do, in different ways.

  • Bright Data applies KYC to its Residential network only. Bright Data's Residential network requires company KYC for zones created after July 7, 2026. It accepts registered companies with a corporate email domain, calls itself a B2B platform and does not approve personal projects. ISP proxies, Datacenter proxies and the Web Unlocker API need no KYC.
  • Oxylabs applies KYC to every customer. Its KYC page says every customer answers a KYC questionnaire. Its policy PDF describes a "multi-layered KYC approach" in which ID verification or a compliance call may be required.

In short: Bright Data is stricter on who can buy residential; Oxylabs checks everyone, for every product. Neither offers a path without identity details for residential IPs. Who else asks for ID: Proxy KYC Index 2026.
