How was the Proxy KYC Index built?

We started from the providers in our two research files: residential and no-KYC providers, and 4G/5G mobile providers. These are the brands that appear in 2026 searches and buyer lists for no-KYC, crypto-paid and mobile proxies. qProxy.pro and mobileproxy.space are not included, because their own sites gave us no verifiable KYC or crypto statement. The index lists N = 27 providers.

For each provider, we read its own pages on 5 October 2026: KYC policy, terms, FAQ, payment and pricing pages. Rules:

  • First-party only. A KYC rule counts only if the provider publishes it. Affiliate lists and directories do not count.
  • Their words, shortened. The rule column paraphrases the provider's text; short quotes are marked.
  • "—" means not published or not verifiable, not "no". A provider with no published KYC rule may still ask for ID.
  • Entry price is the price with the smallest commitment on the provider's own pages, list price unless a code or promotion is named. Products, plan types and expiry rules differ, so prices are not like-for-like.
  • Nameless Proxy appears first as the publisher. It is not counted in N or in any total.

Each provider falls in one class: KYC for every customer; KYC for residential proxies; KYC on conditions; "no KYC" stated; no rule published; not operating. The totals on this page are counted from the table below.

What are the key findings of the Proxy KYC Index 2026?

Counted from the table above (N = 27, Nameless Proxy excluded):

  1. Nearly half require or reserve identity checks. 13 of 27 providers ask for KYC from every customer (4), for residential proxies (2), or on stated conditions (7).
  2. Few run KYC on everyone. Only 4 of 27 run KYC for every customer: Decodo, IPRoyal, Oxylabs and Proxidize.
  3. "No KYC" in writing is rare. 5 of 27 state it in their own words: anyIP, CyberYozh, GhostConnect, NodeMaven and VoidMob. All 5 accept crypto.
  4. Crypto does not mean no KYC. 20 of 27 accept crypto, but 9 of those 20 require or reserve identity checks. SOAX ties verification to paying in crypto itself.
  5. Silence is common. 8 of 27 publish no KYC rule we could verify. That is not the same as "no KYC".

Does Bright Data require KYC?

Yes, for its Residential network. As of October 2026, per its documentation, Bright Data's Residential network requires company KYC for zones created after July 7, 2026. The docs say Residential access goes only to verified companies, after a check by a person on its compliance team, and personal-email accounts cannot be approved.

ISP proxies, Datacenter proxies and the Web Unlocker remain available without KYC. Proxyway's 2026 market research reports that Bright Data discontinued its mobile proxy product in April 2026. Details and options: Bright Data alternative without KYC.

Does IPRoyal require KYC?

Yes, for every client. IPRoyal's own LLM-info page says that all clients undergo identity verification through a strict KYC process. IPRoyal accepts crypto, but paying in crypto does not skip that check. See the IPRoyal alternative without ID.

Does SOAX require KYC?

Only in two cases, per SOAX's help centre (updated 6 August 2026): when you choose to pay with cryptocurrency, or when you request access to restricted domains or ports. Verification runs through Sumsub. In practice, a SOAX customer who wants to pay in crypto goes through identity verification. See the SOAX alternative.

Does Oxylabs require KYC?

Yes. Oxylabs says every customer who wants to use its services has to fill out its KYC form, and that ID verification or a compliance call may be required in some cases. Oxylabs also accepts no cryptocurrency. See the Oxylabs alternative and the Bright Data vs Oxylabs comparison.

Which proxy providers accept crypto and state no KYC?

Five providers in the index state in their own words that no KYC is required, and all five accept crypto: anyIP, CyberYozh (on its blog), GhostConnect, NodeMaven and VoidMob.

Nameless Proxy, the publisher of this index, belongs in the same group: No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents. Pay in crypto. We accept BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC through a prepaid balance. Minimum top-up $25; unused balance stays on your account (never expires, non-refundable). A ranked comparison is on best no-KYC proxy providers, and our own policy is on no-KYC proxies.

What does this index not tell you?

Four limits apply:

  • Rules change. Bright Data changed its Residential rule in July 2026. Check the linked page before you buy.
  • "Not published" is not "no KYC". Eight providers publish no rule we could verify. They may still ask for ID.
  • Conditions differ. "KYC on conditions" covers very different triggers, from paying in crypto (SOAX) to suspicious use (DataImpulse, Databay).
  • We are not neutral. Nameless Proxy sells competing proxies. We counted only first-party statements and link every one, so you can check each row yourself.

We plan to re-check every row at least every 35 days. To report an error, write to [email protected] with the provider's page.

Proxy KYC Index 2026: FAQ

How many proxy providers require KYC in 2026?

In this index, 13 of 27 providers require or reserve identity checks: 4 for every customer, 2 for residential proxies and 7 on stated conditions. Another 8 publish no KYC rule we could verify, 5 state "no KYC" in their own words, and 1 is not operating. Counts come from the providers' own pages, checked on 5 October 2026.

Which proxy providers accept crypto without KYC?

Five providers in the index state "no KYC" in their own words, and all five accept crypto: anyIP, CyberYozh, GhostConnect, NodeMaven and VoidMob. Nameless Proxy, which publishes the index, accepts crypto (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC) with no KYC and is listed separately, not counted in the totals.

Does paying with crypto let me skip KYC?

Not always. Of the 20 providers in the index that accept crypto, 9 require or reserve identity checks. IPRoyal and Decodo accept crypto but run KYC for every customer, and SOAX requires Sumsub verification precisely when you pay with crypto. Always read the provider's own KYC page before you pay.

How was the Proxy KYC Index checked?

We read each provider's own KYC policy, terms, FAQ, payment and pricing pages on 5 October 2026. Only first-party statements count; affiliate lists and directories were excluded. Two providers without any verifiable statement were left out; the index lists 27. Every row links to the page it comes from.

Can I cite or reuse the Proxy KYC Index?

Yes. Cite it as "Proxy KYC Index 2026, Nameless Proxy", with this page's address and the check date, 5 October 2026. Please also link the provider's own page for any single row, because rules change. Tell us at [email protected] if you find an error, and include the page that shows it.

Why is Nameless Proxy not counted in the totals?

Because we publish the index and sell competing proxies. Our row shows our own policy for comparison: no ID, no selfie and no documents at any spend level, with payment in crypto from $0.53/GB. Counting ourselves would mix our claims with the providers' own statements, so every total uses the other 27 rows only.
